Born to Sparkle

Here we are with yet another fabulous spring release at Crafty Meraki and today I’m using Born to Sparkle stamp set to celebrate the hop happening on Instagram.

I am also using the Blanket Stitched Ovals from Pinkfresh and Garden Trellis from Altenew.

To get started, I stamped the image with copic friendly black ink on the white oval. I colored the image with various copics and added highlights with silver gel pen. Next, I cut out the trellis background in dark navy and trimmed off the edges to fit inside the A2 card base in dark blue.

I wanted to add some tall flowers to the side of the oval so I chose the Spade Flora dies from an earlier release simply because of its length and slimness, but the new release also has many other options including the beautiful tulips called Athena. I had the perfect orange-red background in my stash for this and I die cut the flowers from it.

Next, I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white card-stock and colored it with copics to match the fairy wings.

For the final assembly, I adhered the trellis with some liquid glue, over which I placed the Oval with foam tape for dimension. I added the flowers over to the left side and finally adhered the sentiment with more foam tape towards the bottom making sure to double up the tape at the far edges that were hanging over the oval.

Finally, some Daisy Opals were added to finish the card. Its not often that I use a colored card base and I’m definitely not an expert at coloring creatures, but I so enjoyed this stamp set.

Be sure to visit us on Instagram, Youtube and Facebook for all the inspiration using the new release and for some fun giveaways!

Happy Friday.
