Who doesn’t love some bright rainbow colors?! Combine that with rainbow colored foil and you get yourself a very bright and shiny card!!
For today’s card I used the new Pagoni Mania Hot Foil Plates with Spellbinders Rainbow Foil to create the A2 back ground. While the machine was on, I also foiled some sentiments using the Handmade Love Hot Foil plate and co-ordinating dies.
To get that gold ‘grunge’ on the A2 background I simply used some leftover pieces of gold foil around the edges. Since I did not have a solid hot plate at this time I simply flipped the Pagoni Mania plate over and used the back side of that to heat the pieces of foil and ran that through the Big Shot as I would have done to get regular foiling. Only thing to note here is that you do not need a lot of pressure otherwise it will damage the hotplate, the die-cutting machine etc. Couple of easy passes did the job.
Next, on Strathmore Watercolor paper I sprayed different inks to get a rainbow background. I used very little water so that the colors remained bright. Once dry, I used the Fern Leaf Die released earlier in the year.
I cut out the A2 stitched scallop frame in gold mirror card-stock to match the sentiment in gold foil. For the final assembly, fern leaves where placed in the center and adhered with Bearly Art glue. The scallop frame and sentiment were raised over the A2 panel with foam tape and final touch of some green illusion sparkles were added to finish off this card.
